Little girl's big day

Tomorrow, 4 July 2007, the little girl me will grow older. (And nope it is NOT American indipendence day on the 4th July). Tomorrow, pampampam, is my brithday, I will become 20 years old. 20 years. Imagine. (I feel the word 'acient' already being tattooed onto my forehead into BIG neon letters, someone save me?) Anyways, I made a little cartoon, down here, to celebrate me getting older. It says '¿Es el chico que quiero?', what means, 'Is it the boy whom I love?'.

Happy times...!

Who ever would have thought that a little evil gril like me, dreaming day by day, would be taken seriously? Well I myself never expected such. Let me tell you something now. Today, the day of all other days they, art-freaks took me seriously. I was applying for a place on the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague... and guess what?!

I AM IN

I'm so happy! I cannot believe it! Still I cannot... imagine...! Always been dreaming about creations all over the world made by my hand and now I'll be educated in it - offically seriously! Couldn't be any better! I'm dreaming! WeeeehhheeeeEee! Now, one more official applying exam left, for Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam, next week. (Yes, I passed two exams already, I am in two academies already. But I want to apply for Rotterdam as well, than choose between the three academies.) For Willem de Kooning Academy of Arts I do need to make two different projects. One of them 'be inspirated by a word or setence and make somewhith of it' I am working on right now. I choose the sentence 'Een mooi gebid is een fanastisch bezit' (beauiful teeth is a wonderful tread (property - but otherwise it doesn't rhymes haha!). My idea about this making enlarged ironies on 'beautiful teeth'. Meaning: rotten teeth, too sharp teeth etc. Because when you think about beautiful teeth you probably expect those too-white-tooth-paste-smile-teeth and I would be honoured to break this patern with a smile. Haha. Down her the first paint skecth. Vampire monster...

There has passed a period in which I have been totally out of inspiraton. How bad. Yesterday evening, when the brushes were longing for me and the ink begged to be used again I started to do some - inspirationless - fast ink paintings. Up and down here two images which show a part of the results. Not really special, nor amazing... They are very 'without' a context, what in fact, is the very most important coponent of an 'art work' next to its view. I just did something. Pff... It's terrible to have this un-inspirational period, I feel like my hands are tied on my back. And all I want is to use those hands. One little problem, not able to use them. Anyways, still much other things to be done. Like, exams. Hell. Isn't summer supposed to be a pleasently happy period full of sunshine and free time? (Would like to wish all you luck, luck anc thousands of luck with coming exams! We can do it!) (Do your exams with the ultimate snail spirit, sure you'll pass. Perhpas a little late, but who cares? Haha!) I guess these study period for all my exams is eating my imagniation part of brains. I mean how possibly can't I have any clue about what to do on a white paper? Conclusion: exams bring stress and eat your brains. Hahaha. And again, luck for all of you! :)
